Brooklyn Nets 2016 NBA Title Betting Odds & Season Preview

Moving on with my NBA Season Previews, I will next look at the Brooklyn Nets. According to the Brooklyn Nets 2016 NBA Title Betting Odds at Bodog Basketball, the Nets have been listed at +20000 odds to win the NBA Title. Here is my Brooklyn Nets 2016 Season Preview.

***Special Deal*** NBA Season Package Just $100.00. That package runs through the playoffs… I also have $10.00 Daily and $50.00 Weekly NBA Packages as well. Click Here For All The Action

Last year the Nets felt the key to their season was with a plethora of NBA veterans. Well it got them to the playoffs, but not past the first round. They did pay well in the series vs Atlanta, but still they just didn’t have the horses to get past the stronger Hawks. Now the Nets have revamped their roster in hopes that it gets them get back to the playoffs and hopefully past the first round.

Deron Williams is gone and many feel that the move may be a sign of the Nets heading the other way, rather than forward. Brook Lopez is now the player the Nets will build around, after he had a solid season in which he scored 17.2 ppg and 7.4 rpg. The problem with Lopez has been injuries, so the Nets brought in Andrea Bargnani, who averaged 14.8 ppg for the Knicks last year for some added depth.

Also part of the core of this team is Thaddeus Young and Joe Johnson who the Nets made it a point to hold onto this year and both are slated to be in the starting lineup. Young was brought in from Minnesota last year and played 28 games form the Nets, scoring 13.8 ppg. Joe Johnson played in 80 from Brooklyn last year and as very average for them, scoring just 14.4 ppg on the season.

Jarrett Jack scored 12.0 ppg and dished out 4.7 apg last year and will now be running the show at the point, while sharing time with Shane Larkin. Jack does have an issue with Turnovers though. Rounding out the starting five will be Bojan Bogdanovic, who is a machine from beyond the arc as he hit 91 threes last year.

The Nets did trade away Mason Plumlee to the Trailblazers for a draft pick and used that pick to take Rondae-Hollis Jefferson, who was one of the best small forwards in the draft. Also, the Nets drafted Chris Mcullough to give them some depth at the forward spot.

The Nets are not a team that is built for playoffs this year, but they are in the weak East so anything is possible. Still the Nets are pretty much building for next year and the first step was getting rid of Williams and his big contract. Then they added some young talent through the draft and kept their core of players in Lopez, Young and Johnson. THe Nets will not be a terrible team this year, but I don’t think they will reach the playoffs again. That will have to wait for next year.

Boston Celtics 2016 NBA Title Betting Odds & Season Preview

The NBA Season is fast approaching and today I will take a look at the Boston Celtics. According to the Boston Celtics 2016 NBA Betting Odds at Bodog Basketball, the Celtics have been listed at +10000 odds to win the NBA Title.

***Special Deal*** NBA Season Package Just $100.00. That package runs through the playoffs… I also have $10.00 Daily and $50.00 Weekly NBA Packages as well. Click Here For All The Action

Last year the Celtics did just enough to sneak into the playoffs , but it was a short lived trip as they were ousted by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 4 straight games. Still it was a step in the right direction, as Brad Stevens has this team on the rise. Now it’s time for them to take the next step, but can they do it without a true super star?

The guard position looks very sound and deep with Marcus Smart, Avery Bradley and Isaiah Thomas all in the mix. The trio looked very good last year and all have big upsides. They also have Perry Jones, who they selected with the 28th overall pick in the draft and he should give them some solid depth at the position.

At one forward spot will be David Lee, who the Celts acquired in the offseason from Golden State, where he averaged just 7.9 ppg last year. He has a 14.7 ppg career average and has been project to put up around 18 ppg this year. He is a solid offensive addition to the team and also gives them a great defender as well. Also at forward is Evan Turner, who played all 82 games last year for Boston and should increase his scoring from the 9.5 ppg he put up last year.

Tyler Zeller returns as well and should have a very nice year at center, while Kelly Olynyk gives them some very valuable minutes off the bench. The Celts did loss Brandon Bass in the offseason, but have replaced him with Amir Johnson, who scored 9.3 ppg and grabbed 6.1 rpg for the Raptors last year.

The Celts will continue to be a team on the rise as Brad Stevens has done a very nice job of getting them back to the playoffs. This is a team that is really built to defend first and score later, much like his teams at Butler did. Defense does work as Memphis has shown, but at some point they will need to add a little punch to their offense. If this team had at least one superstar on it then they would be a very serious threat in the East, but they don’t so I will call for the steady rebuilding to continue with a very good shot at getting past the first round of the playoffs, but no further than that.

Atlanta Hawks 2016 NBA Title Odds & Preview

The NBA Season is fast approaching I will start my season previews off with a look at the 2015/16 Atlanta Hawks. According Betting Odds at Bodog Basketball, the Hawks have been listed at +5000 odds to win the NBA Title.  Here is my Atlanta Hawks 2016 NBA Title Betting Preview.

***Special Deal*** NBA Season Package Just $100.00. That package runs through the playoffs… I also have $10.00 Daily and $50.00 Weekly NBA Packages as well. Click Here For All The Action

Last year the Hawks had the best record in the East, but heading into the playoffs they weren’t the best team in the East. That was Cleveland. Atlanta then went through a 7 games series vs New Jersey and a 6 game series vs the Wizards before running out of gas and getting swept by the Cavs in the Eastern Conference Finals.

It will be tough for them to duplicate last year’s regular season success, but still this is a very solid team. The biggest problem for the Hawks last year was size on the inside, but they hope they took care of that with the signing of Tiago Splitter from San Antonio. His size and toughness is very much needed. They also made a trade for Tim Hardaway Jr and grabbed a couple of overseas players for the future in the draft.

Most of the core is still intact with Al Horford and Milsap, who had great chemistry and Teague and Korver who can both hit shots from the parking lot. The Hawks Did lose Demarre Carroll, but it did come down to losing him or Milsap and they felt more comfortable in keeping Paul.

On paper this is a very good team and they got much tougher on the inside with the addition of Splitter, but they do lack some depth and just like last year they don’t have a bonafide superstar on their team. THe Hawks won’t win 60 games again, but they still are a dangerous team in the East and should at the very least walk away with the Southeast Division.
