Philadelphia- The Eagles finally got into the win column with their 24-17 road win over the Jets on Monday night. Now they get a chance to make it two in a row vs a Washington team that is not playing well. In the win over the Jets , the eagles offense looked better, especially their running game which churned out 123 yards, after combining for just 70 yards the first two weeks of the season. The running game is what fuels the Eagles offense, but still they need more out of their passing game as Bradford struggled again. Sam went just 14 of 28 for 118 yards in the game and he now has a QBR of just 72.3 for the year. The defense for the Eagles played well vs the run, but did allow the jets to pass for 276 yards in the game. That pass defense is now 23rd in the league, allowing 272 ypg so far.


Washington-  The Washington Redskins come into the game at 1-2 on the year and have had extra rest after playing on Thursday night last week. This is not a team that is expected to do much this year and many were surprised that they beat the Rams in week 2. Last week they took on the Giants on the road and lost the game 32-21 The game was 32-14 before a 101 yard Kickoff return by Rashad Ross made the game a bit closer in the end. Washington actually outgained the Giants by 40 yards in the game, but the Giants won the turnover battle 3-0, which really turned out to be the difference in the game. The Skins had their best passing game of the year as but still they are ranked 21 st in the league in passing at 228 ypg. A couple of bright spots for the Skins has been a running game that ranks 4th in the league and a defense that ranks 2nd in yards allowed.

I will go with the Eagles in this one. Philly is the better team and their offense may have wake up last week. It's still not great, but it is still much better than that of the Skins. This Washington offense is all about the run, so the Eagles can load up to stop it as the Washington passing game just doesn't scare anyone. Philly needs this game in the worst way and I feel they will come up with another big effort and win this one by at least 7 points.

Washington Redskins vs New York Giants Thursday Night Football Betting Preview & Pick

Washington-  The Washington Redskins come in at 1-1 on the year as they lost their opening game at home to the Dolphins by a score of 17-10, while bouncing back last week with a 24-10 home win over St Louis. Their play so far really hasn’t been good overall, but then again it really wasn’t expected to be. The Redskins are predicted to finish i last place in the NFC East and that is most likely were they will end up. Their Hasn’t been terrible so far as they have averaged 361.5 ypg in the early going, but mental mistakes like 70.5 penalty ypg has really kept the offense from sustaining scoring drives. The ground attack has been excellent so far as they have churned out 171.5 ypg on the ground and at 4.6 ypc. Alfred Morris is healthy and is showing just how valuable he is as he has rushed for 180 yards through the first 2 games. Cousins has been good at the WB slot as he comes in with 91.1 QBR. The defense has been very good and comes in ranked first in yards allowed (234.5 ypg) and 3rd in points allowed (13.5 ppg).   
New York-  Boy did the Giants blow one vs the Cowboys on in their opening game of the year. First they failed to score from the 1 yard line late in the 4 th quarter and then allowed Dallas to march down the field in the closing minute to grab the go ahead score. The Giants had this game all but won and they let it go as Dallas came from behind to win 27-26. The Giants followed that tough loss with a 24-20 home loss to he Falcons. Now the Giants are 0-2 on the year and the heat is getting put on Coughlin once again. The offense hasn’t really been the issue as they have put up 338 ypg and 23 ppg so far, but that defense has been a mess so far, allowing 419.5 ypg and 25.5 ppg. The good news is that the Eagles and Skins have no offense right now and Romo & Bryant are gone from the Cowboys for a while. The Giants still have a good shot at winning their division, but still that defense must improve.

The New York Giants are not as bad as they have played thus far. They have the better offense in this game by far and the defenses are rather even, despite the fact that the stats say differently. The Giants took on two very good offenses, while the Skins played Miami and St Louis, who just don’t have scary offenses. The Giants are 6-1 ATS their last 7 games on Thursday night, while the Skins are just 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 on Thursday night and they are just 30701 ATS their last 11 trips to New York to take on the Giant. Washington still isn’t a good team and the Giants will finally put a full game together and get their first win of the year by at least 7 points.
