NFL Thursday Night Football Free Pick

Indianapolis Colts (2-2) @ Houston Texans (1-3) 8:25 PM Eastern
By: Charles Beckham
The Line:
Open: PK
Currently: Houston -4
Total:
Open: 45
Currently: Over/Under 41
Injury Updates:
Andrew Luck (Out), Vontae Davis (Q), Mike Adams (Q)
Nate Washington (Out), Cecil Shorts (Out), Jonathan Grimes (Out), Whitney Mercilus (Q)
The Houston Texans will take on the Indianapolis Colts at NRG Stadium in Houston to kick off week 5 of the NFL Season. The Texans have really struggled this season on the offensive side of the football ranking 24th in points scored per game at 19.2 and 21st in rushing yards at just over 99. The Colts have been equally as bad tied for 26th in points scored at 18 and 26th in rushing yards at 87.5. The Texans should boast one of the better defenses in the league and I think tonight they show that as Andrew Luck has been ruled out for tonight. Matt Hasselbeck will be taking his place, but he was in the hospital late Tuesday night. This does not bode well for the quarterback who already has one of the worst offensive lines in the league. The Under is 9-2 in the Colts last 11 games and is 7-2 in the las 9 games of the series. The Texans are looking to get their first win against the Colts in their last 5 tries. I think this game stays way Under the 41 posted, so do many sharps as the line has moved from 45 to 41. Buy the Half point to 41.5 at -120.

I am on a hot streak in the NFL going 7-2 over my last 9 picks up 13 Units. Don't miss out on my winners this Sunday.

NFL Daily Fantasy Advice 8/4-8/5

Daily NFL Fantasy Player Advice for 8/4-8/5
By Charles Beckham

Last Week my Daily Fantasy Lineup finished with 196.2 points. That put me in the top 99.5% of Leagues. Believe me, we cashed HUGE. The last 2 weeks my Premium NFL Picks have gone 5-1 cashing in an awesome 12 Units. Do not miss out on my winners today. Get them here: http://www.sportsbetcappers.com/#!charlesbeckham/cip0

QB
Best Pick
Aaron Rodgers ($9200 FD)-I think if you are going to spend money on a quarterback is the way to go. He is slated for a big day against an awful San Francisco.
Best Price Play
Andy Dalton ($7600 FD)- He has been the 3rd best fantasy QB this year and I think he will have yet another big day. He is priced very well at only 7600. He is going up a Kansas City Defense that has given up an 8-1 TD to INT ratio over the last 2 weeks.
Sleeper
Derek Carr ($7000 FD)-I am looking to save money here with a couple of really nice matchups this weekend. Derek Carr looks to have another big week as he goes up against Chicago Defense that gives up huge fantasy numbers to opposing quarterbacks. For only 7000 at Fanduel Derek Carr looks like a steal this weekend for tournament lineups.

RBs
Top Picks
Eddie Lacy ($7800 FD)- Lacy is slated for a huge day, who is now fully healthy, against a San Francisco Defense that will be torched up and down the field.
Matt Forte ($8300 FD)- A little bit more pricy is Matt Forte, but he is a running back that can go for a huge day against Oakland on Sunday. If you have the funds to put him in your lineup I would not hesitate.
Best Price Play
Karlos Williams ($6300 FD) Karlos Williams has looked incredibly strong with the opportunities he has been given. Now with a full load with LeSean McCoy expected to miss this week I look for Williams to have a huge day against a Giants defense giving up the 8th most points to fantasy RBs
Sleepers
Melvin Gordon ($6800 FD) I think Melvin will be a strong play this weekend going up against a Cleveland Defense that gives up 158 Rushing YPG. Gordon is hungry for the endzone I can easily see him scoring 2 TDs Sunday.
Joseph Randle ($7400 FD) With Brandon Weeden still at the helm for Dallas I see the running game becoming just that much more important. Joseph Randle had a huge first half last week against Atlanta. This week he has a more favorable matchup. Look for a big day from Randle

WRs
Top Picks
Julio Jones ($9400 FD) Julio is the best Wide Receiver in Fantasy Football. Make room for him on your roster. He will be one of the best WRs this weekend yet again as he does not go up against any dominant defensive back.
AJ Green ($8400 FD) AJ Green is slotted for another big day against Kansas City. Yes he will receive most of the attention from the Chiefs defense, but they have shown to be vulnerable to the pass. Look for a big day from AJ.
Randall Cobb ($8200 FD) Randall Cobb had another huge week against the KC, I look for that trend to continue against the 49ers. This is a matchup that you should look to exploit this weekend.
Best Price Play
Amari Cooper ($7200) I think it would be very smart to match Amari with Derek Carr if that is who you start at Quarterback. I like Amari to have a big day here against a Chicago defense that will be on the field a long time Sunday.
Sleepers
James Jones ($6000 FD) I guess you can call him a sleeper because of his price but after posting 23 last week and 19 3 weeks ago. James Jones is proving to be a great target for Aaron Rodgers to throw at and I look for him to potentially have a big day against the 49ers as they will work to shut down Randall Cobb.
Donte Moncrief ($6300 FD) I am looking at matchup here. I think that Moncrief is going to have a big game against a defense that will focus its stars on TY and Andre. Look for Moncrief to get a ton of touches from Andrew Luck.

TEs
Top Picks
Martellus Bennett ($5500 FD) Martellus Bennett looks to have a huge game this Sunday against an Oakland Defense that gives up an extraordinary amount of fantasy point to TEs. At only $5500 Bennett is a steal in any type of league. I would strongly recommend slotting him in your roster.
Jimmy Graham ($6600 FD) Jimmy Graham also has a favorable matchup this week going up against the lions. He should have a big week against a vulnerable secondary, with weak coverage from the linebacking core. I just cannot pay this much for a player when I think that there are better places to spend my money.
Sleeper
Charles Clay ($5200 FD) Charles Clay is slated for a big game against the Giants this weekend. They are truly awful in pass coverage and have shown susceptibility to getting beat by the pass. Charles Clay offers a nice play if you are looking to save some cash for other places.

Kickers
Short and sweet, Look for the matchup you think is strongest. Probably would be best to stack the kicker from the same team as your QB and WR. I Look for Brandon McManus (4900 FD), Mason Crosby, and Sabastian Janikowski to all have big days for kickers.

Defenses
Top Picks
Green Bay ($4700 FD)- I think there are 2 solid options at defense this week. Green Bay has shown that they do not completely roll over on defense this season. With how Colin Kaepernick is playing this season its hard not to start a defense playing the 49ers.
Denver ($4700 FD)- The Broncos Defense has looked incredibly stout so far this season, and Minnesota will not be the team to change that. Look for Denver’s Defense to stifle the Vikings in a clear mismatch.

My Daily Fantasy Lineup:
QB Derek Carr
RB Karlos Williams
RB Melvin Gordon
WR Julio Jones
WR Randall Cobb
WR Amari Cooper
TE Martellus Bennett
K Sebastian Janikowski

D Broncos

Arizona Cardinals @ Chicago Bears - Free 2* Premium Play w/ Analysis

20th September 2015 - Arizona Cardinals @ Chicago Bears - Free 2* Premium Play w/ Analysis
By: Jonathan Young (Follow Me on Twitter @JonoYoungP4P)

This match-up is the reason I really enjoy handicapping NFL games. The Arizona Cardinals come in to Soldier Field following a 31-19 win over the New Orleans Saints last Sunday with QB Carson Palmer throwing for 307 yards and 3 TDs. The Cardinals offense did look very good against a Saints defensive unit that in my view will be at the footer of the defense rankings come December.

The Chicago Bears showed some signs of life in a 31-23 loss to the Packers in the opener, leading Green Bay, 13-10 at halftime. However, the Packers outscored the Bears, 21-3 in the second half prior to a late touchdown to seal the game.

One major factor in favour of Chicago on Sunday is that the Cardinals allowed Drew Brees to go 11-for-18 for 183 yards with a TD in three-WR formations last week, a formation that was heavily utilized by John Fox and the Bears offense against Green Bay. Chicago gained 306 yards on 41 Plays in the three-WR formation last Sunday and will be looking to implement the same in week 2.

As well as being an elite RB, Matt Forte is also one of the most effective pass catchers out of the backfield; he had 102 receptions last season and had 5 catchers last week for 25 yards. I think quick passes and screens keep Arizona’s perimeter players in check and Cutler will be able to move the chains on a regular basis.

2* Best Bet - Chicago Bears + 2

The Cleveland Browns will be on the road to face the New York Jets on NFL Sunday and televised on CBS at 1:00pm eastern time.

Cleveland Browns @ New York Jets Betting Odds provided by 5Dimes
Cleveland Browns             +2.5
New York Jets                    -2.5

Over/Under:
o40
u40

The Browns averaged 5.1 (26th) yards per play while allowing 5.2 (8th) yards per play defensively. Their 3rd down conversion rate was 29.47% and they ranked 23rd in first downs. They also averaged 18.7 (27th) points per game. From a betting perspective, they went 9-5-2 against the spread overall and 5-2-1 against the spread in road games. When betting on the Total in the Browns games, they had a 5-11 Over/Under record overall and a 3-5 OVER/Under record in road games.

The Jets averaged 5.0 (30th) yards per play while allowing 5.4 (15th) yards per play defensively. Their 3rd down conversion rate was 38.89% and they ranked 25th in first downs. They also averaged 17.7 (28th) points per game. From a betting perspective, they went 6-9-1 against the spread overall and 3-5 against the spread in home games. When betting on the Total in the Jets games, they had a 7-9 Over/Under record overall and a 3-5 OVER/Under record in home games.

My NFL Premium Picks for the 2014 -15 Season went: 63-47 (55%) +$3,001

FREE NFL PICK
[468] New York Jets -2.5
My eyes will certainly be closed for this Free Pick. This is certainly a game where I believe the number will matter as I feel it will be decided by a field goal. This is a perfect axample of a game that if I were given an additional point (Browns +3.5), I’d be on the other side. Neither of these teams have high expectations for this upcoming season. Perhaps the biggest news between the Browns and Jets is what happened to Geno Smith. In my opinion, I think Geno Smith being out is actually a blessing in disguise and now Ryan Fitzpatrick will take the starting role in this game. I guess the most important point to note in this analysis is you will be in a much better position if you bet numbers and not teams. “3” is a “key number” in football, which means games are won and loss by 3 points at a high percentage.

As for the Total, all signs point towards the under and I’m sure that the public will be all over this, despite the public betting on overs the majority of the time. I just can’t pull the trigger on something that seems so obvious in the most popular bet sport NFL. I expect this to be a sloppy game and if the oddsmakers have enough belief in releasing the Jets as 2.5 point favorites, I’ll agree with them and lay the points.

Kansas City Chiefs 2015 Preview w/ Win Total Bet

Kansas City Chiefs 2015 Preview w/ Win Total Bet

By: Jonathan Young (Follow me on Twitter @JonoYoungP4P)

The Kansas City Chiefs are 20-12 over the last 2 seasons and come into the 2015 campaign with an extra offensive weapon in Jeremy Maclin with a strong emphasis of throwing the football. Maclin provides the deep threat they need, not to mention speed.

Andy Reid prides himself on his teams playing solid defense, evidenced by ranking top-five in points against in the last two years. The defense did see a big drop in turnovers created in 2014, however that was partly due to the fact that team leader Eric Berry missed 10 games last season after being diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. But Berry is now fully recovered and is ready to lead a Chief secondary that hopes to play up to the level of the team’s dominant pass rush.

KC’s special teams are rock solid as well including speedy return men as well as the best punter in the NFL. Kansas City managed 9 wins last year without ever throwing a TD to a wide receiver. Look for them to contend for the AFC West Crown and be a playoff team in 2015 behind the more than capable Alex Smith at QB.

When looking at all 3 aspects of NFL teams (Offense, Defense & Special Teams), the Chiefs are among the top 5 in both Defense and Special Teams and with the addition of Maclin at WR, the Chiefs should be able to spread the field to allow Jamal Charles to get some good running lanes.

BEST BET - Kansas City Chiefs OVER 8½ Wins (-110)
