When: 8:00 PM ET, Sunday, August 16, 2015
Where: Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri
Televised: ESPN

Odds:  The Royals are -131, while the Angels are at +121. The O/U Line is at 8 (O -115)

The pitching matchup for this game pits Hector Santiago for the Angels vs Yordano Ventura of the Royals.

Hector Santiago is a lefty and comes in with a 7-6 mark and a 2.87 ERA overall, while on the road he has gone 4-5 with a 3.22 ERA. He has struggled of late, going 0-2 with a 6.06 ERA in his last 3 starts overall, but he is 1-0 with an 0.75 ERA in 2 career starts in this park.

Ventura has not had a great year as he is 7-7 with a 4.97 ERA overall on the year, while at home he has gone 5-4 with a 4.47 ERA. In his last 3 starts he is 2-0, but with a high 5.50 ERA, while in 2 career starts vs the Halos he is 1-1 with a 3.72 ERA.

Some stats of note: The Angels have hit The Halos have hit just .242 and have scored 4.29 rpg on the road this year, while their ERA away from home is 4.34. Angel road games this year have averaged 8.55 rpg.

The Royals are hitting .273 and have scored 4.52 rpg at home for the year so far, while their ERA at Kauffman is 3.33. Kansas City home games this year have averaged 7.97 rpg.
This was a huge series for the Angels and after taking game 1 the series, the Royals have come back to take the next 2. The Angels are still just 2.5 games behind Houston for he lead in the West, while the Royals have a comfortable 12 game lead over Minnesota in the Central.  This game will be televised on ESPN and I feel it should be a good game and also have plenty of runs. Ventura has struggled at home with a 4.47 ERA, while Santiago has not pitched well of late, posting a 6.06 ERA in his last 3 starts. The Halos offense hasn't been great of late, but they still should be able to get to Ventura for a few, while the Royals are one of the best hitting teams in the league and have averaged 5.6 rpg in their last 8 games.
I say play the Over 8 in tonight's game
