The Memphis Grizzlies have been right there in the mix for the Western Conference title the last few years and they are hoping to final take the next step this year. The same core of players is set to return, including Marc Gasol, who has re-signed with the team. He will again team with Mike Conley and Zach Randolph to form one of the best trios in the league. Overall this is a fundamentally sound team that just doesn’t make mistakes. They have depth at every position and have a very good core of starters as well. They have won with defense and will have to again, but you still have to wonder if their lack of offense will again keep them from taking that next step. Memphis started out with a loss at home to the Cleveland Cavaliers, but they have come back with two wins in a row over Indiana & Brooklyn.
The Sacramento Kings went just 29-53 last year and have a lot of work to do before they can start contending for playoff spots again. Charged with getting the proper players in place is new general Manager Vlade Divac, whose first decision was to build around center Demarcus Cousins, instead of trade him. They have added some nice pieces around Cousins in Rajon Rondo, Marco Belinelli and Willie Cauley-Stein. THis is a talented young squad, but they still nd a bit more depth and remember they are still in the powerful West so even a big improvement from last year might not get them to the playoffs. So far they are off to a slow start as they are just 1-2 in the early going.

[711] Memphis/ Sacramento Over 198
Let’s look over in this game. The Memphis Grizzlies do not like high scoring games, but the Kings have the kind of pace to their game that will make most teams run with them. Memphis will if they have to and their offense that is not great should be able to score on a bad Kings defense. This one should hit 200 rather easily.
