The Dallas Mavericks have had a rather mediocre start to their year as they are just 15-12 out the gate, including 8-7 on the road. Dallas comes in off a solid 97-88 home win over Memphis, but still they have won just 2 of their last five games. They just have been an inconsistent team all year so far. Their stats really indicate a team that is average at best as they come in scoring just 100.7 pg, while allowing 100,4 ppg. Those numbers are pretty much middle of the pack in the NBA right now. Dirk Nowitzki leads the team in scoring as expected and is putting up 17.2, while Deron Williams is 2nd at 15.6 ppg. This team doesn’t have star power but they are a team that will be in most games and won’t get blown out a lot. The Mavs will be in the playoff hunt all year long.
The Toronto Raptors are off to a 17-12 start to their year and they currently lead the Atlantic Division by a game and a half over the Boston Celtics and by 3 games over the Knicks. Toronto has struggled a bit of late as they have have lost three of their last four games, including a 104-94 home loss to Sacramento in their last game. The Raptors are lead by the solid duo of DeMar DeRozan, who leads the team in scoring at 22.6 ppg and Kyle Lowry, who is second at 21.0 ppg. The Raptors have not been a strong offensive team this year as they come in ranked 21st in the league in scoring, putting up just 99.6 ppg on 43.6% shooting, which is also 21st in the league. The defense has been very good though as they rank 4th in the league in points allowed, giving up 96.5 ppg on 43.1% shooting, which is 6th.

[504] Dallas/ Toronto Under 195.5
I see this as a low scoring game. Toronto is not an uptempo team and they play great defense, especially at home where they have allowed just 96.3 ppg. Dallas has not been a bad defensive team on the road and they can play a slow down game just like they did vs Memphis a couple of days ago. Dallas has averaged just 97.6 ppg in their last five game, while the Raptors have put up 97.4 ppg over the same stretch. This should be a rather low scoring game with at most 190 points being scored.
