The San Antonio Spurs remain a team under the radar, despite their impressive 24-5 star to the season. That is okay by them  as they would rather be the team lying in wait. All five of their losses this year have been on the road though. The Spurs come in on a six game winning streak and have won those games by an average of 20.8 ppg. They are rolling for sure. This is a strong team that is led by a very strong defense, which has clearly been the best in the league this year. San Antonio comes in ranked 1st in points allowed, giving up just 89 ppg on the year, including just 90 ppg in their last six games. On offense the Spurs have been slowing the pace this year and while they are 2nd in FG% (48.4%), they also average just  but they score just 102.2 ppg, which is 12th in the league. The offense though has picked up of late a they have put up 110.8 ppg in their last 6 games.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are not off to the start that they were expecting this year as they come into this game at 11-17 on the year, which includes a just a 4-10 mark at home. That home mark also includes a 2-10 ATS showing as well. This is not what was expected of this tam as many thought they might be a darkhorse contender in the West. The team has a solid core of young players that include Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns, but it just may be taking longer for his team to gel. This could be a team to watch in the 2nd half of the season. The T-Wolves enter as a very average offensive squad that ranks 13th in the league in scoring, putting 101.9 ppg, which is 13th in the league. The Problem for them in the early going is on the defensive end of the floor, where they have allowed 103.3 ppg, which is 22nd in the league, while at home they have allowed 105.6 ppg.

[713] San Antonio -10.5 over Minnesota
I will be taking the Spurs in this one. San Antonio has been crushing team of late and they are 8-3 ATS as a double digit favorite, winning those games by an average of 21.2 ppg. Minnesota has been a DD dog twice his year and have been outscored by 10.5 ppg in those games.  The Spurs are 4-0 ATS the last four in the series, outscoring Minnesota by 23 ppg in those games, with each win coming by at least 15 points. This one should be another rout.
