When: 8:30 PM ET, Sunday, October 25, 2015
Where: Bank Of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina
Televised: NBC
Odds: The line opened with Carolina as 2.5 point favorites and money has come in on them pushing the line up to 3. The O/U line is currently at 45.5.
The Philadelphia Eagles come in off a couple of blowout wins over the Giants and Saints at home They are now 3-3 on the year and appear to have rebounded off the rough start. Their offense didn't look good at the beginning of he year as the new pieces just weren't gelling properly, but in their last 2 games it looks as if those problems are behind them. In their last two games they have piled up 947 yards of total offense and 56 points, which are the kind of numbers you would expect from this offense. The ground attack is really the key to this offense and after a slow start this year they have now run for 158 and 186 yards their last two games. It hasn't been all offense of late as their defense has looked good as well, allowing just 317.5 ypg and 12 ppg in their last 2 games. Philadelphia seems to be rounding into form right now.
The Carolina Panthers have been one of the bigger surprises to start the year as they come in as one of 5 teams in the league that have yet to lose a game. Carolina is 5-0 on the year, after winning the division with a 7-8-1 record a year ago. Their early schedule saw them beat Jacksonville, Houston, New Orleans and Tampa Bay. All of whom will probably not make the playoffs this year, so some may say that 5-0 mark is a bit deceiving, but last week they showed that they are for real by winning on the road vs Seattle. The Panthers aren't getting a whole lot of yards so far as they rank 28th in total offense, but their defense has given them some points, plus have set them up in solid field position, so they rank 6th in the league in scoring, putting up 27 ppg. The defense has been very good as they rank 7th in yards allowed (338 ypg) and 8th in points allowed 18.8 ppg.

[467] Philadelphia +3 over Carolina
The Eagles are the play here. Carolina has proven to be a good team so far, but still hey have only beaten one good team on the year and that was last week, so a letdown just may be in order here after their upset win on the West Coast last week. The Eagles get the clear edge on offense and while Carolina has an edge on defense it isn't as much as you would think, especially with the way Philadelphia has been playing of late on that side of the ball. Philadelphia is 4-1 ATS the last 5 in the series and they are the better team here. I say upset in this one.
