Important game in the Pac-12 for both teams as UCLA looks to get back on track after a 38-23 home loss to Arizona State before their bye week. The Bruins are now 4-1 overall, but just 1-1 in the Pac-12. Stanford also comes in at 4-1 and have won their last 4 after starting the season with a 16-6 loss at Northwestern. Stanford is 3-0 in the Pac-12 so far. Written by David Hess Follow Me on Twitter @DavidHess311

The UCLA Bruins are off their Bye week and are looking to bounce back from a home thrashing at the hands of the Arizona State. A big problem now for the Bruins is their defense, which is missing some starters, including Miles Jack, who is probably the biggest loss of all for the team. UCLA allowed just 14 ppg in their 3 non-conference games, but in the Pac-12 they have allowed 38 and 30 points in the two games. This is a defense that will struggle vs good offensive teams. The offense for the team is fine as they come in averaging 454 ypg and 34.8 ppg on the year and have put up 79 points in their two Pac-12 games so far this year. UCLA has the offense, but their defense is lacking right now.
The Stanford Cardinals started the Season with a tough 16-6 loss at Northwestern and many were questioning this team. Coach Shaw has stated that he was looking to open up the offense and it certainly didn't look like they were going to. Well that has all changed, especially in Pac-12 play, where they have averaged 46 ppg and 510.7 ypg. The Cardinal offense has been pretty balanced of late as they have run for 278 ypg and pass for 237.7 ypg. Kevin Hogan has had a solid season so far as he has hit 67.5% of his passes for 1155 with 9 TDs ad just 2 INTs so far. The defense for the Cardinal has been very solid as usual, ranking 28th in yards allowed and 29th in points allowed (19 ppg)

[109] UCLA/ Stanford Over 54
I know Stanford has a very good defense, but still the Bruins defense is horrible right now and both teams have way too much offense to think that this will be a low scoring game. The Bruins 2 Pac-12 games have put up 86 and 61 points so far, while Stanford's 3 Pac-12 games have averaged 70 ppg. Both of these offenses play an uptempo style and that will make for more possessions for each team and both know how to put the ball in the endzone. This game may hit 70 points as well.
